D’Wayne Shaw has built a distinguished career in career and technical education (CTE) spanning more than two decades across Texas higher education.
He began his CTE career as an Automotive Instructor at Kilgore College in the fall of 1999. During his tenure at Kilgore College, Shaw held multiple leadership roles, including Lead Instructor for Transportation Technologies, Department Chair of the Technologies areas, Technical Dual Credit Coordinator, Dean of Public Services and Industrial Technologies, Executive Dean of Professional and Career Education, and Associate Vice President of Student Learning.
Shaw currently serves as Executive Director of Statewide Workforce Partnerships for Lamar State College Orange, where he focuses on strengthening workforce alignment between education, industry, and regional partners across Texas.
In addition to his institutional leadership roles, Shaw has served as an Evaluation Team Leader for the ASE Education Foundation and as Chair of the Workforce Education Course Manual (WECM) Advisory Committee, contributing to statewide workforce and instructional standards.
Shaw holds an Associate of Applied Science in Automotive Technology from Kilgore College, as well as a Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences and a Master’s Degree in Human Resource Development from the University of Texas at Tyler.
